Client Experience Guide
Welcome and Thank you for choosing me, Leslie Leavitt Photography to photograph your family. It is always such a special time to get your family together and document your relationship, changes, growth and love and I hope that I can capture that perfectly for you. This is a guide to help you make your family photos perfect.
The one questions I get asked the most is "What should we wear?" If you have the same questions or aren't sure about what you should wear, I have a few suggestions.
Try not to be too matchy-matchy. Not everyone needs to wear the same color. Choose three or four colors and mix between those colors and neutrals to add variety. When you are struggling to think of colors, look around your home. What colors do you use to decorate your living room? What colors are in your closet? Hopefully that will give you a few ideas.
You don't need to go out and buy your whole family new outfits. Take a look at the clothes you already have and then fill in with new items. If you have little boys, maybe buy them a new bowtie or suspenders but use pants and shirts they already have. If you have a cute dress, buy your husband a new sweater to match. If your little girl has a cute outfit, make it extra special with some new shoes and a cute bow.
Dress in layers to give your photos interest and depth. If you have little boys, bowties, suspenders, or a cute hat always are good choices. For little girls, a cute bow in her hair, a little jacket or sweater, or pretty little shoes are just a few ideas.
For Dad: A nice button down and/or sweater with a nice pair of jeans, khaki pants, or if your man is brave, colored jeans. But please, not cargo shorts, or tennis shoes. This might take some convincing, but trust me, it will definitely make a difference in your photos.
For Mom: A cute skirt, jeans with a nice top, cute jewelry, and/or other accessories are always a good combination. The most important thing to remember is to be comfortable and dress to match your personality.
